Title: Orange. Fandom: Whose Line is it Anyway? (US) General Characters: Mystery. (Pick your own!) Prompt: 012. Orange. Word Count: 194. Rating: PG. Author's Notes: I wrote this story in Latin II class today. It’s really short, but the “Orange” prompt kept bugging me all day, so I had to write something. He walked into the kitchen, a smile on his face. Today was going to be a good day, because – well, just because. He opened the fridge and found something. Pulling it out, he studied it with great care, and began peeling. The color orange was very important to him. It was the color of that billboard on that street where he’d met him. It was the color of the first shirt they’d ever bought together – even though they hated the color, it was a Beatles shirt, and they couldn’t pass it up. It was the color of that alcoholic drink when he’d passed out at that bar in London. It was the color of that carrot cake he’d gotten him for his birthday when he was sick in the hospital. It was the color of that pumpkin they’d gotten for their first Halloween together. It was the color of the nail polish when he’d gotten into a fight with that drag queen. Orange meant a lot. And now, as he took that first bite of the delicious food, he chuckled. Orange was an ugly color to most, but the most beautiful one to him. |
