Title: Musical Author: Amara Pairing: RyandColin Rating: G Summary: n/a A/N: This one’s kind of embarrassing because I took the lyrics from the Moulin Rouge- Elephant Love Medley. It kept playing over and over in my head and I couldn’t get Ryan and Colin out either. But I like it and that’s all that matters right? It was autumn, late autumn, about the time when you could see your breath in the middle of the day. And it was the middle of the day. In a park, just off a residential area in L.A. All the families and couples were out on this fine autumn day, the sky clear and the sun shining distantly. One pair in particular were in deep conversation over serious matters of none importance. At least to the other people passing it was. “I don’t know how you don’t get it!” Ryan exclaimed as he walked beside his Canadian friend. “Love is a many splendid thing! Love lifts us up where we belong! All you need is love!” Colin shook his head. “Don’t start this again.” The taller man looked over at him. “All you need is love.” He repeated, stressing his point. “A man’s got to eat, Ry.” Colin said. “All you need is love.” Ryan smiled, his eyes dancing. “He could end up on the street.” The older man pulled Ryan off to the side under a tree. “Love is just a game, anyway.” “I was made for loving you, baby and you were made for loving me.” Ryan opened his arms inviting Colin in. But he turned away. “You crazy fool, I won’t give in to you.” The younger man came up behind his friend. “Don't...leave me this way. I can't survive, without your sweet love.” Colin laughed, “You make it sound like I’m dead!” He turned to face Ryan and his expression softened. “You’d think that people would have had enough of silly love songs.” “I look around me and I see it isn’t so.” Ryan grinned. Colin turned his head to watch the people go by. “Some people want to fill the world with silly love songs.” He said softly. “Well, what’s wrong with that?” Ryan asked. He backed away, letting his arms come up and in a loud voice that rang out through the park, “Love lifts us up where we belong! Where eagles fly on a mountain high!” Colin rushed over and pulled Ryan’s arms down. “Love makes us act like we are fools. Throw our lives away, for one happy day.” Ryan moved close to Colin’s face, whispering, “We could be heroes, just for one day.” Colin turned away, shaking his head. “I, I’ll be mean.” “No you won’t.” “And you . . . you’ll drink all the time.” Ryan came up around Colin, his face beaming in a smile. “We should be lovers.” “We can’t do that.” “We should be lovers, and that’s a fact.” He laid a hand on Colin’s cheek. Colin put his hand up over Ryan’s. “Though nothing will keep us together.” “We could steal time just for one day.” He pulled in closer to Colin. Colin closed his eyes and let out a small smile. “We could be heroes, forever and ever.” Just because I will always Love You I can't help loving you...How wonderful life is Now, you're in the world. |
