"BREATHE" CHALLENGE I've been listening to the song Breathe by Anna Nalick and I've absolutely fallen in love with it. When I listen to it, I get all of these ideas for a Colin & Ryan story written from Pat's point of view, but I have no time to write it right now. So I'm just putting it out there for anyone who might want to give it a try. Clay The idea is a song fic about Ryan and Colin. Using that new "Breath" song and either Colin or Ryan getting a journal from . . . someone and write their feelings. Then someone finds it . . . Amara COLIN/WAYNE FRIENDSHIP CHALLENGE Okay, first of all, I love angst. I write angst, and I read angst. So, the more angst that you include, the better. :) All right, then, continuing... -Colin Mochrie/Wayne Brady friendship tale. No slash this time 'round, folks! -Wayne Brady centered, obviously. Other main characters to include, aside from Colin, that is: Ryan Stiles, Drew Carey and Brad Sherwood. -Elaboration is always an option! Okay, now, for the basic plot of this little ditty... One day, while shooting Whose Line is it Anyway?, Wayne isn't himself (EX: not singing as well, not as "giddy", not his generally cute as Hell self), and while he is trying his best to hide it, he can't from Colin. Colin is concerned about his friend's uncharacteristic antics, but does not voice his worries. What is up with Wayne, you may wonder? One of two things. One, Wayne is sick (not cold sick, I mean flu sick, as in the kind of sick where all you feel like doing is lying down somewhere and dying) and sometime during the show, nearly passes out due to his illness. Said incident would then greatly piss off Mr. Dan Patterson, which would finally cause Colin to erupt in defense of his friend. Or choice two, at some point during the show, Wayne would injure himself and then try to act all right. He could either do this on his own (EX: when Ryan broke the light on Drew's desk) or have a not-so-nice member from the audience accidentally or purposely do it for him (EX: a non-fan, a racist person, someone from his childhood who made fun of him and is now jealous of his success) when he pulls them up on stage to participate in a game with him. I know I'm not describing this well, but I would really appreciate someone writing this for me. I've been looking for Wayne Brady fan fiction since August, and I've found none. Lyndsey COLIN AS A GIRL CHALLENGE By a freak accident Colin gets turned into a girl!!!! Ryan/Colin action if you can write guy/girl stuff. Rules-Colin needs hair! And I figured they shouldn't be married, like parallel universe sort of thing. Amara COMING OUT CHALLENGE Ship: Colin/Ryan (although any other is fine too if you want) Genre: Drama-ish, perhaps humor, and hurt/comfort Challenge: Whichever ship you chose (Colin/Ryan - *hint*hint*) has decided, or does decide, to come out to their families and/or friends. Show the trials and tribulations they go through in the process. Consider: (You don't *have* to use the following ideas, they are simply here for your consideration while writing) -a family member or friend not being so accepting -other people being anti-homosexual and whatnot -ABC not wanting them to come out while the show was still being shot. (i.e. wait until the show goes off the air, or runs only in syndication, like it does now) -they are in the public eye, so the press would be all over them -you can choose to make this AU - you can simply write out and wives and/or children, or you can work them into the story. -Maybe one member of the couple is not as eopen to the idea of coming out I'm not going to put any serious guidelines on this - it's really up to you how long it should be and all that. Leatharegee CROSSOVER CHALLENGE I have seen some rather absurd crossovers in my travels on the web over the years. Write the most unsusal crossover story you can think of. It can be funny or just plain dumb. It can be one page or twenty. The point is to write. BK DRUNK COLIN CHALLENGE This idea isn't as good. Colin gets drunk and Ryan has to come to the rescue. I don't mean silly drunk, I mean mad, cursing drunk. Maybe word fighting? Rules- Do what you want. Amara GAY BAR CHALLENGE One night after a taping Greg has the idea to go to a gay bar instead of their regular hang-out. They're improviser! What's the harm? Ryan/Colin. Maybe Wayne/Greg or whoever you want to throw together! Rules-Feel free to do whatever but maybe a little bump-and-grind action! Amara MUSH CHALLENGE Write the most awful, sticky, gummy piece of mush you possible can. Ten extra points if you Mary Sue a male character. BK PICTURE CHALLENGE Originally this had many rules that applied to fic writing on LiveJournal, though it's mostly here in case people want to see the pictures that were used for relevant fics in this archive. The challenge comes down to, in essence, write a drabble based on one of the following pictures and was issued by Indy: Picture 1 Picture 2 Picture 3 Picture 4 Picture 5 QUOTE CHALLENGE Here are the rules: - Pick a quote from the list. Pick more than one or all of them if you like. It doesn't matter. - Base your story off the quote or include the quote in your fics (could be a flashback story, could be said by a different person than listed, could be used in the story in different context than it appeared in the episode.) - Post your story as soon as possible along with the quote you used. 1. (Greg) 12. "If you get this right, I'll give you a million dollars, and I'll show you some lovin' like you've never seen!"(Brad) Missy SEVEN DEADLY SINS CHALLENGE Here’s another challenge for you guys. This one has to deal with the seven deadly sins. I’ll post one deadly sin a week, and whoever wants to can write a story dealing with that sin. You can have it as a title, a theme of the story, whatever, but that sin has to be incorporated somehow into the story. 1. Pride 2. Gluttony 3. Envy 4. Lust 5. Anger 6. Sloth 7. Greed Patricia Thomas TITLE CHALLENGE PART 1 Okay, so I think it's time for another challenge! I have here a list of pairings and story titles. Pick a pairing, a story title and go to work! It can be any length, or even a series. Whatever tickles your fancy! Good luck! (Don't mind the first title. That one came out of pure boredom. If you must know, Avenue Q won the Tony for Best Musical this year.)
Patricia Thomas TITLE CHALLENGE PART 2 Here's a list of 20 fic titles. Use one (or more) of them to create a story. There are no restrictions except that you have to use a title. That's it! Have fun with this and let your mind wander.
